Dre's third album, Deathrow, was the acclaimed and commercially successful follow-up to The Chronic. Death Row Records had grown considerably since the release of The Chronic, and Dre became a multimillionaire producer. Over the following years, Dre became a mentor to producers on the Bad Boy label, including Heavy D., Boot Camp Click, and the collective the Dungeon Famliy, which produced the acclaimed single "6 in the Mornin'" for Bad Boy star Tyrese.
Although Dre's later albums typically had more production input from former label-mate ace producer and composer-songwriter, Jimmy Iovine, his hard-core hip-hop label Death Row Records, which Mr. Knight founded in 1991, had high success as label head was reputed for signing mostly hair-raising street artists with underworld connections.
