Kabbalah, Magicl

Magicl was at times related to the practical kabbalah of the Jews in East-Central Europe. This meant that kabbalah was interpreted as a tool that could empower a magical leader, and there was a great demand for people that could lead an army or establish a political power. These people were mostly people who were neophytes, and who had no kabbalistic background. For an example, we can look at the anecdote of Michael Svechauer .
Svechauer was a well known holocaust survivor, who experienced many hardships in his life. Remembering these hardships and being able to envision them from a position of privilege, he could easily resort to charity. He used to work closely with Makova, who was murdered by the partisans. He was supposed to dedicate the story of his life in heavy metal music. The procedure to get this permission became so problematic, that it was never granted.
Goldschmidt used his status to order einzels (singular) from the kabbalist community. He was quoted as saying: “We need a kabbalist to be the one who will represent us in Hell!” These einzels were juristic assistants to the righteous who would help them receive their portion in Hell. These assistants would guide the righteous in their proselytizing while they were in the grave. They would also guide and inspire the righteous when they awoke for the Heavenly banquet. They were also tasked with cursing the evil.
In either the Anglo- or American-influenced folk revival, or in the public and literary canon of the twentieth century definitively, magic has been associated with the occult, spiritism, witchcraft, Satanism, magic and the occult, and a host of surface labels like “new age”, “hippie”, “occult” and “supernatural.” d2c66b5586
