Carousel does not turn: Check that the feed rate is not set at 00 and that the machine is not on pause. You can try to turn the carousel by hand (gently). If the carousel turns without engaging the motor, call us.
Remote control does not work: The remote control consists of a transmitter (small hand held device) and a received (installed in the machine). Problems of reception are usually caused by a weak battery in the transmitter.
The Alpha Axis Pro offers the best value in the upright manual stringing machines, making it a popular choice for home or shop use. The crank tension mechanism is easy to use and accurate. The Wide-stretch mounting system makes it quick and easy to secure your tennis racquet before stringing. Each stringing machine comes with tools (straight awl, cutting pliers, needle nose pliers), manuals, spare springs, tech support, and 5-year warranty. The Axis Pro is the right choice for stringers at home looking for a convenient machine with professional-like features and results. Starting clamps will NOT be included.
Rather than just cutting the string off the reel, threading it through the first grommet hole and starting to pull tension with the stringing machine, pre-stretching means you apply some tension to the string to change its properties.
The second is to use the pre-stretching feature found on several modern stringing machines. This built-in feature lets you pull strings at a higher tension before dropping down to your preferred tension. You can then clamp off, weave the next string and pre-stretch again.
For example, if you set 10% pre-stretch on the machine and want to string your racket at 50 lbs, the machine will initially pull the string to 55 lbs (10% above 50 lbs) before reducing it to the desired 50 lbs.
For removing elasticity, the machine pre-stretch is more effective as it pulls an increased tension on a shorter area of the string, immediately before the string is pulled again to the correct tension. 2b1af7f3a8
